Hotel in early March.
Sun beat us out into the streets.
I think about the night I had.
How I had nothing good to say.
I just start down the road
of knowing that these feelings shouldn't matter.
That's when I feel the most.
This isolation, somehow it's all a choice.
You could be here.
You could see me more.
Arrangement of my thoughts.
The order of events in my head.
Good friends they never fought.
One was enamored while one was miles away.
I wanted to have words of wisdom,
but we're just too different.
And it wouldn't make much sense.
It's destructive.
I can be so destructive.

On every weekday I find the arguments.
And every weekend is like the counterpoint.
On every block there's someone waiting to tell you,

Lay down, think about the ways
you've been intimidated.
And even with this self-awareness
you're still waiting to see
if things will come to you.
Patience can be criminal.
You'll pick a new one,
you'll pick a tawdry novel.
Warm lamp is burning late into the night.
On every weekday I find the arguments
can wear me down.
Weekends are no escape.
On every page the subtlety is lost,
